Plain old text can be a little dull at times and sometimes when sending messages you may need to format messages and bring them to life.
Whether you’re looking to jazz your text up or you may just need to put something in bold. You can directly format your messages in Crugo. Below the text box, you’ll see all of the formatting options.
As you can see, you have a few options. To make your text stand out, you can make it bold. Simply add an asterisk to both sides of the text. Like this: *hello* and your text will appear in bold. Super easy!
Same goes for Italic formatting. You only need to add either side of the text an underscore, like this: _how are you_ and your text will automatically appear in italic.
Let’s step it up a notch. You can easily add a line through the centre of your text by adding a tilde either side of the text, like this: ~strike through~. Want to quote a previous message? Just add the greater than symbol > before the text.
Some people may like to highlight their text and make it easier to read, whether it be single words or sentences. Just add one back tick to either side of your message or word, like this: `Did you remember to add your tasks to marketing channel?`
However, you can also collect paragraphs of text and format them by adding three back ticks “` either side of your message. Like this: “`Instant messaging is never guaranteed to be secure, social media information can be hacked into easily, why not use a secure platform such as Crugo to store all this data sensitive information.“`
We got a little something extra for developers! Want to add lines of code? Simply add two back ticks “ either side of the “text“ and bobs your uncle.
Spice up your group and direct messages with emojis. Just click on the smiley face in the chat bar, and you’ll see a bunch of great emojis. Same goes with GIFS, click on the GIF button, and we will automatically add them to your chats.
